Yeah.. That sucked alot, but before that time, mc didn't had any advantages which makes him "superior" to other's, so it was refreshing to see that he is awwonga dragon species sh*tt*r because of his cultivation method

This isn’t technically a spoiler, but reading your comment made me feel like not reading this novel anymore just because you summarizing the plot took away some of the charm of reading for the first time.

I tried to start reading, but for me, at the time, the novella seemed too violent. Especially the way MC's father treated his mother. I couldn't take it anymore and gave up. So, how does it go from here? Is MC going to keep going through the cr*p of the world like this?

In a nutshell, yeah. The MC is no better than his father. In fact, he's worse. If you've read other progressive fantasies or xianxias, you know what's going to happen. These novels make you appreciate the process more than the end, because the end is usually (and in this case) unsatisfactory. It's really upto you. From how you reacted to the abuse of the father, it seems you're a sensitive person (nothing bad, in fact it's much needed) so I'd assume this isn't for you. This novel has an edgy MC. If that's your taste, read on. However, instead of taking my words for it, you should read a few more chapters to form an opinion. Happy reads!

Thank you for your reply. Actually, I'm not always against cruelty, it depends on who is victimized by it. If it's an innocent woman, like in the case of MC's mother, then yes, it's really sad. But if it's someone like the father or family who is constantly abusing them, then I'm not against cruelty. Ha, double standard, isn't it?
