Girl gets gaslighted by best friend into deceiving mc into letting the news record his house and make a show about airing his dirty secrets about being a scum bag.Mc sees through it and gives her a chance to not betray him and come clean.Girl comes clean by crying and breaking down, and the mc apologizes for seeing through it and putting her on the spot so he doesn't lose trust in her.Mc apologizes, to the girl, because he made her confess trying to betray him. ??? I don't know about the main character, but even I, a random loser, have more self respect than to literally apologize to someone because they were planning on lying and deceiving you.Chapter 172 btw.Generally speaking I don't like many of the waifus since it feels like the mc is at their beck and call constantly and can't actually exist without a reaction from them. Mc feels more like a method for the author to get reactions out of characters than an actual character.

If you like something very fast paced, revenge, malicious plots, the typical godly powers and harem CN novel than this is not for you. If however you're like me and enjoy at times a more slow paced series than you'll probably enjoy this. The MC is a little dense but he's not into harems. He likes one girl and sticks with her so far. There's no revenge plots, no betrayal just a fun slice of life series. He's not all-knowing, but he is talented and he does try to improve himselfthroughout. It's a lighthearted and relaxing series and after reading a lot of the more traditional far, this is a good break.

hi guys, it is your author giving a shameless review. Thank you for trying To Walk The Mist. You will find that there are two versions of the book. This is because I got signed and the editors pulled this magic. The other is the older version that I had to delete the chapters and leave all my hard earned reviews and ratings behind. So please don't be shy to leave a review and save this author's pained soul.

I read il chapter 34 in one go then realised this hasnt been updated in 3days so figured will stop now instead of reading till 50th chapter and then knowing this wont ever be updated. The translator needs to mention his/her update schedule clearly. Now coming on to the novel it self, it is quite slow paced but the MC is refreshing to read so the pace can be forgiven. However what I find odd is the way the author seems to jump around with the ideas, starts of something and leaves that topic completely without closure and brings something else in. Not sure if eventually everything will be stitched together but so far in the 34 chapters you find no proper direction.Pros: MC, well just the MCCons: Slow paced, all over the place story line and mainly not sure if the translation is going to have a proper schedule or just on their whim.

I kinda like it... I love the idea behind it... and I really want to read it... but it just does not strike a cord with me. I have read 23ch... and I had to force myself to read it for the last 10 ish chapters. I just don't like that the colonists are experiencing hardships at every corner... nothing feels like it's going right for them. Even though it probably will work out in the end. It doesnt feel like progress is being made and that makes the story feel very slow paced and thus boring. Everything else about the story is fine, the grammar, the style of writing is ok, the world building really feels like it will lead to something great with all the little tidbits that are beeing dropped. It is just that the story does not grab my attention and nothing so far has been something that would make me feel excited/happy for the MC or his colonists... everything that happened so far just made me feel worried and anxious or just straight up disinterested. For every step that is made it feels like they make 2 steps back and that some new problem arises.Well I have rated it highly because I do think that it is a novel with an interesting premise... and that it will probably lead up to something very interesting later when the colony grows and when, I'm guessing, we get a more of a kingdom building aspect which I always find enjoyable. Tho I don't want to torture myself reading something I don't find interesting just to get to something interesting after 200 chapters. Good Luck with the story!

My review on the first 20 chapters:Translation isn't the worst, but it could do with some improving. The names of realms and such will switch from time to time, but it's bearable. The story isn't anything new except for the fact that from what we know right now, the mc is living on a floating island that's composed of several clans/villages. Outside of that is the bigger cultivation world which we still have little understanding of. The past 20 chapters haven't really shown anything substantial enough for me to comment further and the mc feels quite bland. Wouldn't be my first choice for this week's trial read but it could have been worse.
