This novel is quite astonishing. Not overly explained and the ending left the reader in a blank which makes the story come out with different endings on how the reader thought of while making the story unforgettable.

An overall happy and drama-free novel!

The only downside is the loose ends with the side characters and the abrupt ending that didn't feel conclusive.

But other than that, I really enjoyed this novel! ☺️

It's initially fun and intriguing, but ultimately it grows monotonous. The typical tale of transmigration to ancient times, followed by achieving wealth through modern knowledge, has lost its appeal. I'm weary of reading it and feel that continuing would be a waste of time.

This was an adorable read. 4/5 stars. It’s nothing too serious, very much a slice of life, quick, and it really hits all the elements I enjoy in these types of novels. The slow burn between the main lead and the main character was very well executed, and while there was some drama, it was resolved fairly quickly. And the timing! That’s something I often find frustrating in this genre—everything happens so fast—but this one had a more realistic timeline for the events that unfolded.

Lazy Sakura’s translations are top-notch, though I did get a bit impatient and machine-translated the rest.

It's a great book. A lovely slice of life story. I'm not sure why the rating is under 4 stars. It was a pleasant read to pass the time. I loved the book and the characters. The writing style was enjoyable. Everyone should give it a try.

    4.5⭐️

    **Route:** Business
    **Magic Golden Finger:** X
    **Protagonist:** Lin Lixuan
**Premise:** The CEO of a large company dies from stomach cancer. Reborn into a new life, Lin Lixuan vows to take better care of his health this time around.

However, his new circumstances are far from ideal. The house he now lives in is of poor quality, his wallet is empty, and his new body was once a scholar who had thrown himself into a river after his fiancée married a wealthy man. He is now a fool, dependent on his parents for support.

With the responsibility of caring for his mother and his newlywed wife, Lin Lixuan leverages his strengths to rebuild his life. His chosen path? Building a business.

    ---

**Thoughts:** I was torn between giving this a 4.5 and a 5, but ultimately settled on 4.5 because there were certain storylines and aspects that I felt deserved more attention.

Despite that, I genuinely enjoyed this novel! The main character (MC) isn't omniscient; while he has the advantage of modern knowledge, much of it doesn't apply to the historical setting. Additionally, he's not particularly skilled at cooking, but he manages to succeed in the food industry thanks to the talents of his male lead (ML), Ji Yan. Their collaboration, combining MC's ideas with ML's culinary expertise, makes for a compelling narrative.

I also appreciated the balanced approach to character development. Antagonists receive fitting consequences, and even flawed characters have the opportunity to redeem themselves. The overall tone is sweet and relaxing, and the translation is of high quality, making it a pleasure to read. I look forward to revisiting this story once it's completed!
