In 2023, swimmer Jiang Jiaojiao and her teammates were participating in a team-building activity at the beach when they were caught by a big wave while trying to rescue a drowning child.
In 1964, Lin Baoni jumped into the sea to save a comrade from the People’s Liberation Army, only to be swept away by a large wave. She eventually lost her life due to exhaustion.
Jiang Jiaojiao, who was reborn as Lin Baoni, lives on with the hope Lin Baoni carried.
She marries a soldier, becomes a military wife, explores islands, and works hard to overcome challenges and improve their living conditions.
