The protagonist is such a moron.
He really thinks he'll find an easy and cheap way to cultivate in the common library, as if others wouldn't use this if it existed. Of course he "smiles bitterly" after each reading.
I just don't like the protagonist I really don't
Now the bad. I realized through reading this story another concept in these Chinese stories that is prevalent and what actually is behind it. The concept where an elder is always telling the jr or protagonist that it will do them more harm then good to know that information, ect.. In reality this is a symptom of China's extreme censorship and information control, as it really not about protecting the individual, but keeping information that could prove problematic to those in power should it be revealed to the masses. Of course China is not the only nation that is guilty of this type of information control, but is probably the most blatant offender.
The title itself suggests a dystopian scenario where the boundaries between races are blurred, and the apocalypse becomes a catalyst for introspection and unity. Through its characters, the book invites us to empathize with diverse perspectives, revealing the resilience and vulnerability that lies within every individual, regardless of their racial background.
This novel is not just a warning about the potential future but also a call to action, urging readers to engage in meaningful conversations about empathy, understanding, and the responsibility to build a more inclusive and compassionate world. It reminds us that, in times of crisis, it is our shared humanity that may be the only saving grace.
In a human tone, "Apocalypse of All Races" is a poignant reminder of our collective need for connection, compassion, and a deeper appreciation for the richness that diversity brings. It leaves a lasting impression, encouraging readers to reflect on their place in the world and the choices they make that can shape the collective future.
