I will be 100% honest. I didn't really like it early on. But. The more I read it the more I found myself starting to like it? The charcaters grew on me, and the story seemed to get better for me. The superpowers are basic but with a uquie spin on them, or at least what I think is a cool spin... Jackson is by far my favorite character. He is super goofy but has been shown the be really powerful. Like stupidly powerful. The only main problome I even have is Irene... The way they were handled felt weird to me but I think I got what the author is going for? Anyways the point I am getting at is that this story is really over the top and weird. And I like that. I read so many deep and dark stories that I thought it was refreshing to have a story where they make jokes.#Hero X Ken for life.

Read first 40 chapters in 2.5hrs and not 60 as I ain't paying or using any resources for this trash. Another at best mediocre if not worse novel coming from Mad Snail. Read only if you refuse to use your brain and only speed read through chapters as if drinking water. MC is nearly as annoying in some way like Grid from Overgeared during the the first 100 chapters of it but has lesser character-wise quality. Not because Xiao Ling is scummy but he's literally almost braindead then out of nowhere he's this expert veteran kind of ****, nice character development mate.He's suddenly a chad alpha solo player, I get that he can become op but for him to be a smart@ss out of nowhere does not make sense. This is considering that the idiot has been stucked at level 1 and is poor af for more than 1 month since he played the game. If you're in such a position like that especially in a MMORPG, by the standards of gaming, you are by the definition of a scrub, not even a noob, a noob/newbie is someone new but a scrub/idiot is just inherently bad. Also, the fvcker is literally one of luckiest if not the luckiest beta MC for a game/vrmmorpg genre novel. He gets good **** like it's raining money and he didn't do even anything besides walking in a NPC building or randomly mining just so he gets a unique quest or unidentified op item. Not a single bit of struggle or a flow of events beforehand to make the situation acceptable. Either that's just the way it is supposed to be or my preconceived thoughts is shrouding me from liking this, knowing this MC will most likely not change much in terms of character development nor story-wise unlike Grid did. The game itself like the world or story is just thoughtless, by far one of the lowest quality gaming novel made up and that says a lot as most other game novels if not all of them are mediocre already and this one is worst than the existing or past ones. The fights are written soulless, they're so bad you don't even pay attention and just want to get it over with as it's that bland. That segment between the berserk warrior and 3 invading opposing faction was a snooze-fest as well as his random fights with scarlet minions. Fights by Xiao Ling literally goes like this, see enemy spam skills from 3 classes, enemy close to me? Use force push skill then rinse repeat. Not a single sense of thought in fighting, not even planning to chain skills or ****. Also it looks like there is no chanting for spells from the way XL fights? Only CD. Well GG melees late game, dumb game dumb author. World building is literally rated 1 star if none really. From the way it looks like, the MC has only been in 2 towns in a span of 40 chapters and it looks like it'll be the case until 70/80Ch. There has been no Real Life showing as well. Who am I kidding, this novel will most likely be dropped if not continued in a speed of a snail update like Tales of Demons and Gods. This novel is fine to read if you've read almost everything out there and has digested piles of trash novels and just want a quick brain stimulus to check whether your brain still works and can eat more trash as you've gone numb long before already.

I should have made a review when I first saw this hidden gem but I was to entranced by the beauty of this story! An MC that won't follow the son of fate like a lost puppy and would give up his chances of power to the fated one, I love it! Raven is by far my most favorite character out of all the transmigrated/reincarnated Author Extra's. I'm sick and tired of MC's like Ren Dover or Kim Hajin always protecting the child of prophecy, like they're heroes!! They can protect themselves, due to hiding their power, they even allow teachers, students, basically everyone to mock and insult them because they are "weak

I love it! I think the first few chapters could still use a bit of fixing, but later into the story you can really see how much has the author improved! Let’s just hope the story will continue to be so good!

This is more like a personal fantasy of a poor, unsociable man suddenly becoming rich and popular, while maintaining a sense of personal accomplishment rather than having his success simply handed to him. As a student with limited funds myself it is quite enjoyable fantasizing about suddenly becoming rich, but other than that there is minimal story just to accompany the MC's nouveau riche lifestyle and give it basic direction.
