Once the sole grandmaster of his era, renowned as the legendary monster of his time, old man Eldred Arnold went to investigate the mysterious deaths of several of his old master friends.

Venturing deeper into the jungle than anyone had ever dared, Eldred stumbled upon a mysterious crack between two ancient trees that not even he could fathom. Suspecting that it had something to do with his friend's death, the old man found himself in an entirely different world—where people wielded magic and powerful artifacts in their struggle for authority and dominance.

Follow old man Eldred Arnold as he uses the Book of Immortality. As he ventures into an unfamiliar universe, he sets out to collect the Seven Godly Books, each holding immense power. With each book he acquires, Eldred grows stronger, stepping closer to achieving his ultimate goal: immortality.

“This is the fate of the strong. And fate had chosen me to be strong.”

"So what if I have to kill all opposing forces? If it's for a never-dying soul and body, then so be it," Eldred Arnold sneered as he looked at a hundred tier 3 late-stage mages, his eyes flashing with a sinister gaze.

I think this is a great book but at the same time there’s no real progression in the story line it took 100 chapter to get to his first nba game and then another 10 for the next one I just believe you need to start writing longer chapters that’s really the only problem with the book tbh. Lack of content and trying to make the story go at a super slow pace can have readers feeling like the books not worth to read. But great job otherwise

If you are expecting this novel to be an otaku turned good looking. Who then starts to chase his dreams to become a kpop idol, while building a harem, its not. He goes to his first audition on chapter 41. for the first 40 chapters its a high school/slice of life/rom com. After chapter 41 it turns in to a slice of life/rom com, with more actual kpop stuff happening. The MC has a dream to have a harem but i think its just part of his mentality as an otaku, but the author is not going to give him that harem. So the MC just talks about it, but the harem wont happen. The author for what ever reason likes to make the MC brake the 4-rth wall and talk to the author. I don't really like it at all and i'm not the only one that does. But if you read this novel and also find the 4-rth wall braking annoying just do what i did and skip those parts and pretend they never existed to begin with. I'm not one to really like romantic comedy's or slice of life's since they are always slow paced and boring to me. But this one is not bad, i don't hate it, But its not my favorite. it is extremely slow paced in the beginning when it comes to the MC actually chasing his dreams and not just have it as a dream till many chapters later. The chapter lengths are allover the place. Some chapters are 3,000 words while others are 800 words. If you like Romantic comedies/ slice of life's with no harems then this is for you. but for me it was just, ok. Not my favorite, but not my least favorite.

First 9 chapters are nearly unbearable due to the absolutely moronic behavior from every character shown such as:-Dude has super rare ability of map/strategize evolution routes but doing so consumes his evo potential... so he proceeds to spend about 1/3 of his points before saying, "Wait, I can't use any of those paths/combinations since I don't have to genes."-Dispite all the technology and progress in humanity, the people in charge of assigning 'trash' fates to the BILLIONS of people do so in person... at their dinner tables... through holographic calls.... Who would even EAT AT A DINNER TABLE in the future so why wait for that instead of email/messenger type communications or just having the bloody schools had out the info at their computer desk... like what??-Advance space faring civilization, believes a student cheated on test so the classroom of CHILDREN with their teacher proceed to go over his questions that the holographic quantum computer graded as correct as if they people who NEEDED to prove their intellengce and correct an ai.-Story constantly states that higher evolution equates to light speed thought process and even more accurate memory functions, everyone assumes its possible for a barely super human [0.4] to vastly outpace a 2.2 super human in the test like it makes more sense than other options so they redicule/threaten/prevent said student from gene test.

First of all, I would like to say that, please keep up with the novel till the first 300 chapters. The novel was mediocre for 300 chapters. So don't get put off and keep reading. The novel picks up pace, writing is vastly improved and story starts to develop afterwards.I've been reading the novel for the past four years and trust me, it's a gem. The character development, world building, storyline are simply superb. It would compel you think what might come afterwards and would literally fry yoir brains out. All your theories and predictions may do down to drainage. Author surprises so much that you theorize multiple possibilities and all could be wrong. The novel just gets better and better, the more you read. There is no repetition and arrogant young master, unlike other Xinxia novels. Foreshadowing is superb and the most important is the MC. The MC's story is centre of the plot. Author connects the dots superbly, also makes sure that the mystery continues. Harem, tbh is mediocre. So don't expect too much of the harem. The author has a good grasp of concepts and expands it beautifully. There is samsara, Karma, true and false, life and death which you might find in other novels. But Ink just takes it to a whole new level. First 300 chapter, mediocre300-700, good700-1150 great1150- simply awesome. I'm currently at chapter 1260 and caught up with the raws.Human translation puts me off a bit and was slow. But now that webnovel has picked it up, let's see. Also beware, if you go for MTL after you have caught up with the human translation, there are many terms that may differ. Even excluding all that, it deserves a five star, atleast for me.

If you want a story with an Evil and scheming MC this story is for you. For the evil part you only have to read the first chapter to know that, but for the scheming part you need to read around 30 chapters. The reason I like this story is because the MC is smart and evil but it makes sense and the people around him are also smart. It is not like in other stories where they have “smart MC’s” but everyone around them is stupid. The only bad thing is that some interesting parts are skipped over (the war before his child is born).

The story itself may be decent, but I can't tell, because the translation is absolute garbage. Definitely MTL tier.I also don't understand why so many authors feel the need to make the world of Pokémon edgy.
