A Gray Life

Juniper, an empath, fights to save two strangers after reality gives way to a hellscape on Earth. When chaos tears apart the city, she settles in with the darkness. Ashley witnesses her father's murder at the hands of home invaders and is forced to flee a decaying city. When Juniper saves her, she has no choice but to follow the only adult who hasn't yet tried to kill her. Meanwhile, a nameless twelve-year old boy chronicles his experiences in a deranged man's basement, all the time wondering about the fate of his friend, Ashley. Together with other captives, he plans an escape. However, once Outside, the survivors encounter monsters of a different kind.
