If you're a grown woman who has found a loving, equal relationship after a series of bad ones, this story might not resonate with you. Even more so if you've worked at a company with excellent work-life balance.

FL deserves much better. ML is the typical third-generation chaebol, born with a golden spoon and entirely under his wealthy family's control. While he may be a victim of his family's abuse, it doesn't justify his actions toward FL.

Here are some examples I've noticed:

    - If I dated someone for eight months and they never introduced me to their friends or family, I'd end things immediately. In real life, such behavior usually means you're the side chick. I don't care if he's a prince or in witness protection; if he can't make new friends while studying abroad and introduce them to me, something is seriously wrong with him.
    - He doesn't remember FL but is still very possessive of her. This puts FL in a difficult position, especially since he holds a powerful position, like CEO, which was essentially guaranteed for him if he just met the bare minimum requirements.
    - The toxic work culture in East Asia likely contributed to the issues. In Chapters 26-27, life should come before work, not the other way around. Companies will work you to death, and the only ones who'll remember your late hours are your family, especially a little girl waiting for her mother to come home early for her birthday party.
    - There was also a sabotage, so it wasn't even FL's fault. She just happened to work at a toxic company with toxic coworkers, and her ex, who is the big boss, made things worse.
    - ML complained that FL didn't respond to his texts over the weekend, asking how she could have chores if she didn't even look at her phone. His privilege is overwhelming; even if I had free time on weekends, I wouldn't talk to my boss. Whatever it is can wait until Monday. And if I had chores? Sometimes I forget to breathe. Responding to my boss's messages is the last thing on my mind. Sorry, boss, not everyone comes from a rich family with servants. I don't owe you my time or energy outside of working hours.

It's probably how they build the story, but I'm dropping the series because I don't want to see ML be happy. It feels like "Remarried Empress" but with Rashta ending up happy with Soviesch despite everything they did.

I think ML should remain FL's past mistake. She was young and didn't know better. Now, she deserves much, much better.
