I have been with this story since the beginning.  It consistently updates every Sunday without fail.  I know for some people that might be too slow and that’s probably why this isn’t as popular as some other stories here on Webnovel.However, due to that fact there’s no filler chapters and every chapter leaves you looking forward to the next one.  The characters are well written with multiple levels of depth.  You can see their growth over time with villains getting their due in time.There’s no harem, no unrealistic male or female characters, no unreasonable hostility/anger/violence, and no drawn out or complicated cultivation arcs/scenes.The author does not allow you to be the omniscient reader in that you learn about the main character as he does.  Some knowledge and actions that are happening are given to you the reader but not enough to make you feel like a god in the story.The view point also can be trusted.  This is not a story that is so biased towards a single view point that your thoughts and feeling around what is going on is skewed counter to that facts of the story.

As always a great novel by Wang Yu. If you liked Demon’s Diary or A Record of a Mortal’s Journey to Immortality, than you will also enjoy this novel. In comparison with other cultivation novels, this one greatest strength lies in ****** a believable world, that apart from the protagonist, has side characters that have goals, strength and weaknesses and in the end, influence the world around him.
