at chapter 200 now. this book is extremely interesting. the system he has is pretty similar to the other system novels out there, but the story is where it shines. As far as the novels that I read go, there aren't many (or any) that have the mc as a member of a gang and stay with it. his gang isn't some hidden society of martial arts experts that the mc takes over because he was chosen by the gangs inheritance, spirit, etc. it's a street gang plain and simple. filled with highschool age kids who don't exactly know what they are doing, they just want a place to belong. flying by the seat of their pants they are battling against other gangs for money, reputation, and territory. but it's a little more complicated when the mc accidentally kills a classmate, turns an opponent into a werewolf, special forces federal agents arrive in town, and a criminal group of killers show up. Mc has a lot of enemies, but none of them are the stereotypical arrogant rich kids most mc fight on and on with.the world is sort of futuristic, but more along the lines of a different timeline than actually being in the future. all the countries agreed to shelve and outlaw hot weapons(as in guns, canons, etc.) and so the only weapons people can legally have are cold weapons, knives for instance. this makes everything a lot more realistic when people using martial arts starts going up against big forces in a modernish world. of course to make up for the lack of research going into weapons, genetics have turned some humans into weapons, called altered.the only problem I have with the story is it's erratic updating times. per week it updates roughly the same amount of chapters. but by the day, the 1-3 chapters could be released all at once at 8 in the morning, spread out through the day or split up and get one in the morning and one at night. it feels like the chapters are being released as they are finished, rather than being a few chapters ahead and having them scheduled. that's not a bad thing, it just makes the updating not stable day to day. It just leaves me wondering if we are going to get the second chapter that day or the next day will have 3 chapters. with me being so into the story waiting for each chapter to release, it can be agonizing. on the other hand if you take the number of releases by the week it does seem pretty stable. they haven't missed a day yet.as for editing, it's very good. you will rarely find a mistake grammatically speaking. editor has been slipping as of late but it isn't to the point that it would impact the reading experience.all in all this is one of the better stories on this site, and it's relatively original story is refreshing. it has a lot of potential to run very long, but I can see it easily getting repetitive. it'll be interesting to see how the author deals with that. all this being said I would strongly recommend anyone and everyone to read this novel.
