After reading up to Chapter 211 (latest)... I absolutely loved this novel!
Of course, the beginning smelled like it would be a generic OP protagonist story, but the later chapters do a very good job of keeping the OPness and still making the story interesting.
There was a Lovecraftian flair to the whole concept, but the "corrupted information leading to brain explosion" cliche didn't appear here, so I'm very happy. World building is top-notch, battle scenes are nicely done, each of the nine faiths/Gods are well thought out and have a deep backstory behind them. Plus, I hate Chinese cultivation novels with repeated young master annoyances, so this was the only great novel among the recent additions (including the English originals), so I'm giving it a full 5-stars after comparing its competitors.
