The heartbreak

Followed the story when it was being translated on a different site.  Well executed story with an interesting twist. As far as I read, the character doesn’t get too powerful relative to the world around him. This makes the story interesting because rather than your typical power fantasy he is usually still in a weaker position than whoever he fights against. This leads to the main character making clever decisions and taking interesting risks. Overall, the story is worthwhile to those tired of power fantasy and who want to read a low power wuxia story.

As of writing this review, I’ve only read up to Chapter 16. The author’s writing style could use improvements, especially when it comes to tenses, grammar and phrasing. From the chapters I’ve read so far, I keep getting the feel that there is a lack of direction for the plot and details with respect to world/setting. Sometimes it seems to me the MC was just running around places and doing things, being silly, asking questions that aren’t getting solid answers and evaded by other characters. This all makes it hard to grasp what’s going on with the plot/character development. Mystery is good for a story but when reading this, I felt there was too much strange mystery happening and not enough answers as a reader. Or perhaps it’s the way the MC is narrating the story that doesn’t really resonate with me. In fact, I kind of find the MC annoying with his dealings. I have to admit that this isn’t really my cup of tea. However, if you are into magical realism, creatures of the night with hints of romance in the background then this story may be for you.

The short bio made it sound like something which had potential to become one of my new favorites, sadly I once again got proven that a novel having an interesting concept isn't all. Let's start off by saying that I don't think all the blame lies with the translation but mostly with the original writing, there's bad jokes, weird dynamic between core characters and situations which seem very forced. What is on the translation however is the constant usage of certain words that constantly repeat, almost to the point of becoming more than painful. The world background that's given is just enough to create some kind of image to form but personally I feel that it isn't fleshed out enough after 60 chapters. As I said before the general concept and the cheat he gets after transmigrating is actually quite interesting, enough is explained and achieved with it that it kept my interest for the full 60 trial chapters but I can't help having to read past the obvious glaring issues which I mentioned before. I might continue to read it if it gets through the voting round just to see where the cheat leads to. But also to see if there's any improvement in the writing after a few hundred chapters (If the Author is even committed enough for that). It won't be one of my new favorites but I'll be sure to check in once in awhile if I have nothing to read. If it doesn't get through voting I don't really care.

thank you for everybody who made it possible for me to read another great novel. for me this is another great one, i love reading mmorpg novels cause im a gamer myself. thanks for giving this enjoyment in life =)oh and yeah kinda same as rebirth of the thief tho... almost same

What a poetic way of narrating just one scene, I liked it.The first chapter does not explain anything but leaves the reader in suspense and floods with great interest to know how it continues.Overall, it's a pretty good opening chapter if you want it to be a long story.

I would love if the author will continue to release more chapters in this book because so far the storyline has been great and I will love to see how far it goes
