I'm updating my review on this because the story is starting to get more interesting. one thing I really like about this story is that the cultivation is explained well. many cultivation novels do a terrible job of explaining the cultivation ranking system. not only does the author go into depth about how things work, but the addition of a system makes it really easy to understand. it seems like there's a lot of potential here and the action is picking up as well. I can't wait to see what happens once Young grows stronger.

This novel fills me with mixed feelings. I enjoy the plot and the story development. I like the main character(*most of the time) as he is smart and can have things done when needed, and you want to follow his tale and see how he faces his challenges and overcomes them. Now, for the bad part.1- Writing quality: Poor, really poor. Constant conjugation errors in every possible way you can imagine. Poor spelling. Poor dialogues; sometimes we don't even know who is talking or whom is being talked to. Some sentences just don't make sense, because of how it is structured.2- Character Design: Decent at best. Besides the MC there is only one other character that really pops out (due to spoilers won't say his name).3- Female lead: Horrible character. Begins the novel as a spoiled little girl and remains as such. Keeps complaining on how the MC behaves, even though she knows he is an introvert and never had any friends previous to the "Fall". She doesn't even acknowledge her feelings for the MC, but keeps on getting jealous and lashing out on the MC, Plus she doesn't trust him to make the right decisions, and second guesses him every chance she has. 4- Side chapters - Too many chapters about non interesting characters, trying to better describe the situation, but failing miserably. On many occasions the MC's plot is moving, and then we have a chapter about side characters. Also, there is little connection in between the chapters, plus the timeline is really broken. We don't know how to fit such chapters into the story.5 - Time travel - Many chapters occur in the future, or are about memories form the future, etc, etc (you know how annoying time travel is), but they are not explained as such. when we realize they are form a different timeline we are half way into the chapter.6 - Allusions - Too many things taken from other sources, such as DC, Norse mythology, Greek mythology, etc. And sometimes the author simply copy and paste them. If you pay attention you will see that the MC relationship with his sworn brother Loki, is the same with Odin and the original Loki from the Norse mythology. Also, powers copied from DC that have nothing to do with the cultivation system in the novel. This is just my two cents. I can live with the grammar errors and bad spelling. I can live with copying things from other sources, since the plot overall is still good. But I just can't stand the Female Lead b*tch. It annoys the hell out of me and I just wish she would die.
