Prince Vincent, the son of the Alpha King, made an extraordinary decision. Unlike any other member of the royal pack, he allowed his human girlfriend to leave if she didn't want to adopt wolf-like qualities. Even though they hadn't established a bond yet, her choice to go was met with his deep pain and struggle to prove himself as the future Alpha King. Ashley yearned for a simple, human life. She couldn't forget the past, when her father's death was partly due to the wolves, and Vincent had let her down. Despite his striking appearance, she valued her freedom more than their connection. This conflict created tension between them. Caught in a complicated web, Ashley didn't seek a life full of challenges. Yet, her mere existence became a threat to her safety, making her the sole vulnerability for Prince Vincent's enemies. In this dangerous situation, her only sanctuary was the Langston Palace, where Vincent was the only one capable of shielding her from the malicious beings of another realm. But as she relied on him for protection, their growing attraction tested her resolve. Everywhere she turned, Vincent was there, tempting and overwhelming her senses. Despite the inevitable fate of becoming his mate, Ashley found it hard to keep her heart guarded in the face of his constant presence and concern.
