At first it was good, but later they started with Chinese propaganda saying that the powers of Japanese anime are superficial and that only by cultivating like in the xianxia one could become really strong, all this ended up ruining this work.

Okay, so… it’s been some time since I’ve read this one, so bear with me. It might a long one, so bear with me. So, should you read it? Short answer: yes , but only if really like fluff and only if you are REALLY into cute animals doing cute things. Personally, I’ve felt like romance was kind of underwhelming and it might as well have been story about MC and his mentor, and not the story about two lovers. I’m also still wondering why was there a need to make  two AIs secondary couple…   like, it was so strange and kind of unnecessary? Well, anyway, I  didn’t regret reading this story, but I will most probably never re-read it… also, I tried to read extra chapters, but then I gave up mid through the reading lol, so there is that.Long answer: this whole comment  .  So, let me start with the good things… the translation is pretty good, author is really good with explaining what is happening and describing the scene, generally characters are pretty likeable, MC in his animal form is super adorable. Also, I guess it’s cool that both MC and ML are really into each other, there is no drama, no second ML or anything like this, those two are in love and don’t need anyone else, so, if you’re looking for something super fluffy that won’t make your head hurt (light romance part), then it’s for you. On the other hand… I will be honest, I’ve had several personal problems with some moments, and I really want to talk about them…In general, this story is more about MC using his carving skills that he wasn’t able to use in his previous life that it is a love story. I don’t know how to explain it, but majority of the story is about MC’s craftsmanship, while the love story in the background (don’t get me wrong, it’s very prevalent, but in my opinion, it’s not the main focus). And maybe because of that I have some problems with the ML… I don’t know how to explain it, but in my opinion, he doesn’t have that much of a personality, you know? As in, yes, we know that he is very attractive, very strong, very influential, very rich and very loving, but let’s be honest, this is literally every ML in any kind of (romantic/romance) media ever. I love the fact that he adores MC, but honestly, the more you think about it, the stranger his love looks like. He finds this (what he assumes) baby that helps him out, then he finds out (I’m sorry if I’m wrong in the chronological sequence, as I said, I’ve read it some time ago) that this “child” is actually a young adult who was abandoned to die because of his mental problems (before MC remembered his past life, he was basically an adult with a mind of a very small child), yet from the very beginning ML starts to like MC, even though they can’t even talk (as MC is stuck in the body of a little animal and he still can’t talk). In general, I guess, it’s fine, because there is nothing really happening until later in the story, but it’s still might be little strange for some people. ML supports MC in everything and that’s cool, but don’t forget that ML is in the military and is very busy, so he can’t spend so much time with MC. So, when MC finally is able to turn into human, I guess from the readers perspective it’s kind of strange that they literally want to f’ck each other from the get go… honestly, I don’t know how to explain it, but the whole time I was reading I felt like the romance part was pretty underwhelming, and because ML feels so flat (he is like a pretty paper cutout, I guess) I just wasn’t able to feel anything for the main couple. This story is more interesting as MC’s journeys to becoming carving master, not as story of two people meeting and falling in love. Also, as personal pet peeve of mine, became really old really fast how often author would talk about how “adorable” and “cute” MC is… like, we get it, he is a cute little animal, but maybe because I’ve read the whole thing in one reading, it was really annoying to see MC’s cuteness mentioned practically every goddamn chapter. In general, I DO believe it’s a good story for a day or two. There is not much drama going on, main couple is absolutely in love with each other, no rape/dub-con (MC is REALLY thirsty for ML lol), in general the cast of characters is pretty likeable, though you might expect the same cliches as you seen in every Chinese romance story (shitty family on MC’s side, a lot of jealousy from background no-names, MC is extremely overpowered, not physically, but with talent vice and some other things). I think you will really enjoy it if you want to read something to relax and to turn off your brain to, sadly, when I was reading this story I wasn’t really in the mood for any of those things, I guess? But yeah, in general in good. I’m still confused why would they make two AIs second couple and even give them a “child”, but oh well… it may not be for me, but it maybe something you would like, lol.

Since my last review was removed. This book has been abandoned. It’s a waste of money. Started off strong, then a bunch of filler chapters. No update in MONTHS!!
