Writers never really die; their stories live on, to be found again, to be told again, to scare again.
In Victorian London, a select group of writers, led by Arthur Conan Doyle, Bram Stoker and Henry James held an informal dining club, the price of entry to which was the telling of a story by each invited guest.
There are a number of solid reasons to add The Ghost Club to your reading list. For example, you love a good ghost story, or maybe you’ve read and enjoyed Meikle’s Carnacki tales, or perhaps you’re a fan of Victorian terror, or maybe you just enjoy a good read. Whatever your reason, happy reading. – CEMETERY DANCE
A collection of stories that was thoroughly entertaining, presenting a series of clever and canny exercises in style and subject matter by an inventive and accomplished writer. – PETE TENNANT, BLACK STATIC #62
…an extremely entertaining volume for any dark fiction lover. – HELLNOTES
Meikle playfully manipulates multiple styles, has sly references to real stories and has created a work which comes across as genuinely authentic. – GINGER NUTS OF HORROR
It holds such a bounty of great stories it could easily entertain readers of many brands of horror. – THIS IS HORROR

The author does not provide how the system lvl up, he gives the mc unlimited supply without cost, and the MC for some reason a transmigrated person is an idiot. The MC knows that 1 tasteless drumstick cost 10 silvers but sell a magic sweet potato which is a powerful mana potion for 3 silvers.0 0 Reply

This novel should have disclaimers for incredible amounts of gore and disturbing content. Obviously, the nature of any literary content is up to the author’s discretion! However, authors should still be responsible enough to put some disclaimers up when they publish such content so that a potential reader can decide for themselves if they want to to read such content. Simply, it should be a simple courtesy.*Disclaimer: Read up to chapter 16.*The plot has a steady pace and that pace is, in all honesty, slow. There are paragraphs that have “jumps of thought” where something is missing, making it difficult to follow. There are already plot holes being only at Chapter 16... Characters personally feel clunky. There are cases where the author is rather obviously using deus ex machina to fix even the simplest plot points; using them in nothing more than just basic human interactions, no less— there isnt even a weak excuse given for absurdity, its just.. there? I’m a naturally curious person who will hold on tightly to bad writing just to learn the plot, a character, some piece of world building, a slightly interesting take on a trope or what not... I want to know more about this world... but I personally won’t pursue reading it.These are my thoughts on this novel. It has more interest in creating scenes of gore and violent action than creating a story- and what I was looking for was the story.0 0 Reply

It needs an editor badly. I don't even want to look at it. One star with no exceptions. Not even the synopsis is immune, at least use grammarly.0 0 Reply

"Haha I'm sorry Kaede, I can't fall in love with you. My wife would kill me if I even thought about it." Isaac said while laughing.0 0 Reply
