Raya, being the offspring of the town's notorious gambler, whose father's unfortunate addiction to betting often resulted in financial losses, became the scapegoat for his sorrows, including the heart-wrenching abandonment by her mother. Driven by a desire to understand the reason behind her mother's departure, Raya yearned for a reunion. When she was forcefully married to the powerful, yet troubled Alpha Toph, her father viewed this as an opportunity to settle his debts and rebuild their lives, despite the fact that Toph did not reciprocate any love for his daughter. Unfortunately, Raya faced immense cruelty from her new husband, pushing her to make the difficult decision to flee. In her desperate attempt to escape, Raya unfortunately stumbled upon Alpha Nikolai, Toph's own half-brother and bitter rival.
