Fia Lawson had harbored a deep affection for Conrad Maxwell for quite some time. She was aware of his childhood sweetheart, so she meticulously kept her emotions hidden, burying them within her heart. Filled with no illusions, she accepted the reality of the situation. Unexpectedly, his once-cherished friend departed the country, leaving Fia to step into a role as a pawn in两家家庭联盟的棋局。 Despite their arranged marriage, Conrad proved to be an ideal husband, even when he discovered her infertility, showing unwavering support. Years passed in a blissful haze, until one day, he broke the silence with a request for divorce, wanting to sever all ties. "I'm pregnant," she disclosed, hoping to salvage their union. "That's a lie," he countered, "you're infertile." After two long years of fertility treatments, she finally achieved motherhood, desperate to hold onto their fragile connection. He declared, "Our marriage was a mistake. If we must part ways, let's do so without any lingering connections." The depth of her pain was matched only by the profound love she had for him, a love that seemed destined to be unrequited.

A Riveting Journey in Chronicles of the Shadow SovereignChronicles of the Shadow Sovereign is a masterfully crafted tale that pulls readers into a world of mystery, power, and ruthless ambition. From the very first page, it’s clear that this is no ordinary fantasy novel. The plot is rich with intrigue as a hidden ruler manipulates from the shadows, a protagonist who never smiles, and a dark truth about those who serve him. What truly sets this novel apart is its intricate world-building. In a land where magi battle for resources in a contested area called the Domain, different families and power factions clash with deadly consequences. The hierarchy, from the dangerous lower levels to the elusive Monarch, keeps the tension high and the stakes higher. The central theme of ascension, shaped by destiny, pain, and suffering, is fascinating. The power system is complex and evolving, much like the characters themselves, who must navigate life, death, and fate to rise to the top.Chronicles of the Shadow Sovereign isn’t just a story, it’s an experience. For fans of dark fantasy, intrigue, and stories where power and subtlety go hand in hand, this novel is a must-read.This review highlights the key elements of the novel while maintaining a sense of mystery and intrigue!

i liked this novel as this follows solo leveling theme, also, the mc is really op. and the idea that everyone is awaken from the birth is pretty funny 🤣 because it leads to so many possibilities such as hunter school, etc. which sounds cool. but I didn't like the lenghthof each chapter  it is really short

It was easier when Wilfred was here, Lucius reflected. Although much younger, even though he came from another world, Wilfred had actually helped the two of them navigate the academy's first year without too many problems.
