Overall, the story had a decent flow.  I enjoyed the journey from being weak to OP. My only problem was in book 2 in which our hero had so much happening back to back I felt he didn't get the chance to enjoy his rewards for all of his struggles .

Is everyone retarded in this review section? First of all, its not even that hard to catch the title: "Empress's gigolo" note the plural form referring to something that belongs to the empress. It is fine to not know the word Gigolo even though it is present in other languages (At least, Spanish which is my mother language) But even if you didnt get it on the title, is it that difficult to read the Synopsis? "Bootlicking the empress, Ren Baqian ascended the apex of his life" I think it is obvious the empress is not the MC.  Read before commenting...

Hey i was gonna give this a go after reading the synopsis. but the dig at meryl streep at the end made me not.

Book Has an intersting story similar to some other famous stories about a VR game. Author has very poor grammer and sentence structure. If you can get passed poor grammer and sentence structure then this is a good book.

now the author wants us to not leave any bad reviews, yet doesn't seem to understand that this novel is now incapable of getting new readers, alienated most of his current readers, and still expect us to understand... should have just asked for donations.
