A Comet was on a collision course with earth its composition was a rare mineral, but the threat was too great. Forced to destroy it the empires scientists fired at it with Ionized radiation vaporizing the comet, unfortunately the energy the comet was turned into accelerated, instead of three years there was three weeks. scientists could do nothing to stop it so they kept it from the public. The result was unexpected people began to develop new abilities.
