Somewhere, a young man is bored out of his mind. A really short and pathethic series of events later he finds himself reincarnated in some sort of fantasy world with a lot of magical mumbo-jumbo going on. But being the proactive, dutiful, hard-working... wait, he is none of those things. Huh. Well, he kinda wants to be happy, so he will have to be at least one of them.
