A small boy awakens chained up in a cell with no memory of who he is or how he got there. With only fragmented pieces of memory that seem strangely disconnected from him, this boy is thrust into a cruel world. A world of magic and conflict where it is only natural that the strong feast on and use the weak as they wish. A world where humans are not the only race of man and are far from the strongest, and where monsters and beasts are as common as normal animals.
It is in this world that the boy must forge a destiny of his own design or face certain death.
