Running parallel to the events in Level up or Die: underworld a second batch of human gamers have been stolen from our universe and transported to the underground hellscape of the underworld by the ancient succubus Headmistress Lilith first among her kind.

Grif is a semi-professional gamer utilizing the full immersion Virtual reality gaming systems to help treat his trauma caused by nearly a decade of active military service. Service which left his psyche damaged and hardened; only his wife and children keep him tethered to reality, but that tenuous connection is ripped away, when a kidnapping imp sent to recruit our worlds best gamers against their will takes him to the underworld.
