As chaos ensued, she stumbled upon Alessa, the envy and admiration of the entire campus, who needed her help. However, before Kiran could save herself, she found herself trapped in a sinkhole and woke up in a completely different world, with a crystal blade dangerously close to her throat. Here, she encountered Noorh, the mastermind behind the quake, his plan to abduct Alessa now revealed. With no means to return to her old life, Kiran became the "Lahnthean Aria," a revered figure meant to replace Alessa, all under Noorh's watchful but cold gaze. Amidst the glamour and adoration she received, Kiran sensed hidden truths waiting to be uncovered. To survive and perhaps find a way back home, she would need to unravel these secrets – if there even existed a path of escape from this newfound reality.

Really enjoyed this. I binged through all available chapters and even bought the author's patreon to read ahead.

This story doesn't do anything groundbreaking. The writing is simple, and my jaw was really never on the floor at any moments compared to some of the other higher rated works, so looking back I wonder why I was unable to put this book down.

I think a lot it has do with the pacing. Every chapter has a good sense of progression and the exposition is minimal. It is a slice of life, but there is still a good sense of progression. The fights are short and sweet. Arcs don't overstay their welcome. There is very little character drama, which keeps the focus on the MC and the quick pacing.

This feels like it was written for long term litrpg/cultivation readers who are starting to get sick of the genre. It just feels like a nice break from all the world ending high stakes, lengthy expositions, melodramatic characters, and other things that can drag down this genre sometimes.

The story is 8/10, the secondary characters are 7/10, but the main character is 2/10. He's literally older than his siblings but behaves like a child. I thought he would improve over time but he remains the same. He doesn't see his flaws or try to fix them. I know the main character is weak, but he doesn't make an effort to improve even though he's in a fantasy world where strength matters a lot. He doesn't have to be strong, but not even trying is annoying."
