However, their peaceful existence was shattered when, in the fourth year of their settlement, they encountered the fearsome raven beasts - winged creatures native to Gradual and impervious to human energy weapons. The relentless battle claimed the lives of over a billion people before we finally triumphed, a bitter victory indeed. This devastating loss left a deep resentment towards the AIs, our erstwhile allies who, despite sharing the planet, chose to remain neutral during the conflict. Despite numerous protests at AI outposts on Gradual, the AIs maintained silence, causing a rift in our once harmonious relationship.
