Before anyone had a chance to react to what was going on, a guttural laugh sounded across the entire high school football stadium. The sound echoed off the fields stadium seating back into the crowd over and over again. The laugh was eerie and sent shivers down the spines of all in attendance. Almost as if rehearsed, the entire school turned to look towards Fatty as he finished his laugh.

It is my first day of my senior year. One year until graduation. I hope this year goes smoothly. Mom got up and went downstairs, probably to make breakfast.

Just as he finished talking the world went from dark, almost a black red, to a more relaxing red. As Sven looked around at his surroundings, he noticed that it was little bit colder than the last area he was in. Although he noticed it was cooler, it did not affect him in the slightest because the phoenix race is made of fire mostly, and a little core that sits between there eyes. This core normally would look dark red and in the shape of a diamond, but because Sven was a variant race, his core also looked differently. In between his eyes sat and ever-changing color core. It looked almost as if the red and the black were fighting for supremacy, but as soon as one looked to be gaining, the other one would even it out in this everlasting stalemate.

He frowned and listened closer, faintly hearing groaning sounds from the other side of the door, causing him to feel uneasy. Everyone stopped playing and lazing around now and stood up, looking cautiously towards the door.

I can relate to the MC... because I too was banished from my party as the shield hero nyahahah. Another masterpiece from the author, an automatic addition to my fine collection.

really not sure why this is not getting more attention. it's well written and interesting. I guess author just got bad algorithm rng or something because a book of this quality with 60 chapters would usually at least have 10 reviews by now. just want to say that book is very good so far
