Catherine Ross, a rising surgeon, is beloved by her peers and thrives in her demanding role at a prestigious city hospital's emergency department. With a genuine passion for saving lives, she shines in her profession. However, when it comes to matters of the heart, Catherine struggles due to her self-consciousness about her curvy figure and introverted nature, which has led to past insecurities and bullying. On the other side of the spectrum, Alessio Peccati presents himself as an attractive and charismatic individual, yet beneath his charming facade lies a ruthless mafia boss. His weekly roster of perfectly polished companions serves his public image, but they're mere vessels for his private desires, devoid of genuine connection. One fateful evening, when a family member of Alessio's is shot in a secluded parking lot, Catherine, driven by her innate compassion, steps in to provide aid without hesitation. Unbeknownst to her, this act of kindness thrusts her into a world where involvement with the mafia means a one-way ticket to a dangerous existence. Trapped by the Peccati family, she is coerced into working as both a doctor and surgeon for their leader. As Alessio becomes increasingly intrigued by Catherine's strength and independence, his feelings towards her evolve beyond a strictly business-oriented interest. For the first time, he finds himself desiring a connection that transcends his usual superficial encounters. The question arises: how will Catherine navigate this new reality? Can she ever break free from her captor's grasp? And, amidst the turmoil, will she yearn for liberation or find a different kind of freedom within herself? This story is intended for mature readers, containing explicit content including violence, murder, torture, psychological abuse, depression, a suicide attempt, rape, non-consensual, and forced sexual situations.

V. disgusting story, sharing a woman with 3 men, reading this immorality makes me puke, kindly stop writing such disgusting unethical stories about women. Woman is always a respectable creature & love is the most amazing feeling but you destroyed/ demolished both. Please give respect to women.0 0 Reply

My anxiety level from reading the book! OMW! Would have loved an ending where Cat is now expecting hers and Alessio’s child and the names of the other 2 babies.0 0 Reply

I like dark romance but this was not that! It was a horror story! She is held prisoner, constantly abused, raped & gang raped. Forced to have multiple children by different men. Ends with her having no way out and forced to endure this life forever! It was painful to read! Hoped for a better ending,0 0 Reply

For the amount of abuse, rape and sick twisted thinking in this book the ending is weak . 87 chapters of 'darkness' or maybe I didn't understand the characters ...0 0 Reply
