5/writing quality is great for the standerds of this site3/ idk stability of updates4/ good story development so far4/ all characters are bearable and somewhat reasonable so far5/ world background is somewhat unique and goodGood book but the author is absolute TRASH at titles like why not name it "Obelisk" or "The Great Monolith" instead of a cheesy title, quite literally describing the main character. Also never put the word system in ur titles it sounds lazy and of poor quality.
I love everything. It fast-paced which is to my liking. Story is pretty good too. Not much annoying characters and cultivation is easy and complex and is easy to follow as well. Good Parents as well except the dumb dad but still really good. Also https://god-emperor.wikia.com/wiki/Zhang_Ruochen if anyone is having a hard time following his powers and cultivation. I update daily. Not my wiki but it is an honor to add to it. Don't ruin it people.
Ok. First of all, I don't want to offend the author with this review. Secondly, I'm going to review the first 20 chapters. With that said I'm implying that the book will surely improve in future chapters, as the author gets experience but judging by the first 20 Ch I have to say I didn't like this. First, the fact that the MC wants at all costs become a pro player is stupid, at least in my opinion. I don't think some people would really want to try a path with no certainties in a situation where he has no money and doesn't know how to survive. Aside from that, the story itself is nothing new. Aside from the fact that the MC chose a difficult race, there is nothing innovative here. The world-building seems pretty standard, again nothing new. The fact that the MC meets the weapon trainer and the mage "trainer" at the beginning already points to where the author wants to go, but it is another clichè, even the I Got the Masters is a whole clichè. As for the plot itself, where does it lead? What is it that makes it different from other books? Then, the writing quality. Ok, there are not many grammatical errors, yet the MC talks in a weird way with the NPCs, in a totally different way from real life and different compared to how he talks IRL. Then, the fights: essentially Here is the enemy, here is the enemy status, here is a couple of skills, enemy felled. It is rather simple. Notice: This is just my personal opinion. I'm by no means trying to offend or saying my words are absolute. This is an opinion. Feel free to disagree and to read.
I want to come back to this book when I'm in a better headspace. It's a bit melodramatic I feel, which can be tiring, but it's good writing overall. The kind of book that pulls you in and demands you pay attention. I enjoy books like this. They take you out of your comfort zone in the best way
the story started out brilliantly, with the characters being entertaining and the world making sense, however after raydon got the system update half of what I liked about the story disappeared, I'm not going to continue reading thanks to that
The story is good. The only problem is that the MC is really really really really unlikable. He’s dumb, arrogant, he has an extremely short fuse, he is not creative, he is not brave (though not specially cowardly) and half the character development goes something like this: “Uh, I didn’t blow up over some trash talk, I grew up as a person.” 5min later… tries to start a fistfight and insults a dozen people over one disrespectful comment.And finally in one of the last chapters he goes all “woe is me” mixed with a “me against the world” mentality and goes all edgy, though idk if it was another temper tantrum or if he is like this now.Sorry had to vent.
