That's why I said, half baked romance is much worse to read. It's better in harem because you don't even expect anything from FMCs. Authors gotta do the fan service so I don't really expect good romance now. In harem novels, most of FMCs have their arc and done. I read it more like solo MC novels and ignore romance parts. Better written FMCs are rare and honestly novels increase their tier by a notch if the author can pull it off.
