World explodes - Millions or Billions die - both of the mcs don't really care or change because of that. What a great story.Oh, what the side characters who are from set world and literary lost everything in their early twenties do not seem to show any sort of long term effect (longer than one chapter) in personality. Wow amazing. My problem is not even that the author basically threw away around 300 chapter of setup and plot for one event that changes everything. I think it is a good idea to do something unpredictable. It's just that the character reaction to the situation is literary so outlandishly stupid that i can't read this anymore. Like there has to be some change in character or some dark thoughts about this situation, but in the story they just continue like nothing happened. Oh, yeah this new planet enslaves all humans and has some celestial spot, where we have to go, but Malaka you can't slack of with your training hahahaha, while qia and calina are just out here like, I just lost my parents and everyone I ever knew, but I love rean/roan and still have kentucky to cuddle so it doesn't matter. I wouldn't even be this upset if something changed like anything about the characters, but there is nothing and even the oh so compassionate rean, just sighs and moves on. No emotion in sight after spending 24 years of finally getting his emotions back from the system. Could be just as dead inside as death himself if he reacts like that. Anyway, with that being said, I have no hope of character development or any sort of payoff after everyone probably magically comes back to life, since apparently nobody cared to begin with.
I never really liked fantasy stories. I was always more of a romantic person, but my friend showed me this novel yesterday so I made an account to read it. I can say that so far, I like the story. I don't understand how Maurs and Riven became friends so quickly but I like it
