The remote lake town of Little Ridge has a memory problem. There is an island out on the lake somewhere, but no one can remember exactly where it is - and what it has to do with the disappearance of the eccentric Frankie Harpur or the seven-year-old son of a local artist, Lee Montour. When Thettie Harpur brings her family home to find Frankie, she faces opposition from all sides - including from the clan leader himself, the psychotic Doc Murphy. Lee, her one true ally in grief and love, might not be enough to help take on her worst nightmare. The lake itself. A tale of that most human of monsters - memory - Aletheia is part ghost story, part love story, a novel about the damage done, and the damage yet to come. About terror itself. Not only for what lies ahead, but also for what we think we have left behind.

System transmigration novels are a dime a dozen, so everyone pretty much knows what they’re getting. The translation is done well in terms of grammar and spelling. The writing overall is very natural. The world building is decent and the pacing good. The MC is pretty typical. There’s nothing objectionable about him, but he doesn’t stand out either. This novel doesn’t have anything particularly unique or groundbreaking, but it’s a solid read if you like this genre.

It's a great read. The story advancement is wonderful and the MC is very thoughtful about his goal. Has a unique system and a great world background. Thanks for sharing this with us Author-san. I hope you don't drop this novel.

This novel is bad even if you ignore the "china numba one" nonsense.1. It's a cultivation novel disguised as a sci-fi novel.2. Whatever "science" given is literal BS3. Most of the "story" is just reaction dialogue to whatever the MC is doing.4. Lots of bashing of South Korean, India, Japan, US, other Chinese rivals, etc.5. Casual racism sometimes

I'm gonna be honest. And I promise this is all the truth. From the start to the end this has been a good story. The team is also very very good. I assure you that this novel will not waste your time. The plot is well structured and illustrated. Although the story has ended, I'm very sad but still it's impact in my life is huge. Overall the novel should be read(past tense) by everyone cuz it's very great. So I'm here to give thanks to the team! Congratulations for the team for making this journey amazing! More power to you!

A very interesting story. The MC is smart and cautious. Doesn't take shit from anyone but also knows when open outbursts will be damaging to him. The grind is also real and it is really fun to read since every day we can see him grow at least a little bit. It is defenitly a novel which is worth your time. Hope it gets picked!
