A World Without Them

Sometimes wishes can be granted depending on what they are. A rumor gets out saying that gods are real one day and killing one can not only grant you any wish, but also will give you the powers of a god. Along with the gods comes magic. Many guilds start forming to kill the gods because it is reaching the 998th year of their existance which is two years before they will inevitably die. These guilds are called Subjugation Parties. Maeno is a 17 year old who is curious about the world. He sets off into the world to try and learn magic. He finds that he has a knack for magic so decides to become a Summoner. Ritsuko a friend of his in the village who had gotten some training in swordsman ship decides to set off along with Maeno on his journey. Upon hearing that killing gods can grant powers he sets out in search for them. He decides that unlike any other guild groups he will make his own and will protect the gods from ruin. Can he trully save the gods from the people though if the gods are already meant to die?
