They used MTL to translate, and they started translating because they didn't like the Yuri implications in the manga so they decided to snipe the manga to edit that stuff out. They admit that on mangadex. They don't know what they're doing, they just decided to start translating to control the narrative of the story. They say they're not using MTL "as much" now but there are obvious issues regardless.

The mediators certainly are in the middle of the road of this system but it is more like they are upper-level people dealing with the system's dirty parts, so they still carry a lot of individual influence. Having the position may come with expectations and limits, but they seem to be left alone in most cases to not bungle the system.

Ayyyyy, Valtan actually gets what he wanted and kinda glad this arc is over. It wrapped up nice but it feels like it's been going on forever.
