Yours to Claim

The plot relies heavily on clichés, which grew monotonous over time and became increasingly dull. Additionally, I was not fond of how frequently the male lead's (Yahwi) abusive actions were downplayed and dismissed.

The main character Jooin gets raped by Yahwi, an incident that is dismissed but happens again. At some point the MC decides to end their situationship. Yahwi experiences jealousy which lead to a resurgence of sexual harassment and violence towards the MC, which continues to be overlooked. Despite all the abuse and assault done by Yawhi, in the end the MC once again chooses to be with this very abusive perpetrator.

Disappointing but it was predictable.

This based only up to chapter 100 'To Be Continued'

I have to appreciate how well the author kept up with the love triangle. They made it seem obvious then didn't and then back to obvious at the last end. They really knew how do a love triangle and make it look like the kind guy had a actual chance.

Now my problem. They made Jooin, MC, so realistic, very human. They made him realize how hurt he got from the one that emotional and physically hurt him simply because Jooin didn't remember they meet in childhood. They made Jooin realize his self worth and that the situationship couldn't happen. They made Jooin chose himself ONLY TO TURN BACK ON HIS WORDS AND SELF WORTH. Made him return back to the one that left wounds on him. Why would they do that development only to throw it in the trash. To make him end up back with the one that laid his hands on him.

Jooin didn't even try to see how changed the one that hurt became and in one chapter just accepted him without no look on what actually changed.

If Jooin was gonna chose the one that hurt him there was no need for a reincarnation story. There was no need for a build up with a character the MC would not chose. They didn't need to drag this out if the kind one was not endgame. They could've used this time and focus for the actual endgame relationship but they didn't.

The reincarnation part of this was not needed at all. I would understand if Jooin had remembered and wanted to move on from it but he didn't even remember. What was the point to the reincarnation story. What was the point to build up the kind guy and give him all the genuine moments. Not once did Jooin and the one that hurt him had any happy moments or cute dates.

It makes no sense especially if Jooin has been pushing away the one he ended up with each since the late 30s chapters. I believe chapter 38 or 39, since that time to chapter 94. Jooin has been avoiding him and now at chapter 100 he suddenly picks him?

This story had such great potential and could've had a great message but no. They decided to stick to the cliché of the MC going back to toxic one that hurt them more than anything else.

I've been reading "Yours to Claim" from the beginning and I'm not shocked that many reviewers here are very loud and proud about not actually reading the story.

The story's endgame actually makes sense. If you all re-read the story and actually read it, without shipping goggles; you'd actually re-think alot of your stances and understand that the character development and endgame absolutely make sense.

Yours to Claim can be a frustrating read the first go around...But it actually is a fun read over!

The typical cliché about choosing your abuser over a decent guy, who can treat you better.

Update 15/12 okay so this series is going to end, i don't follow it anymore but as what i see on authors's twitter like juin prepare end up with cain, if it is i'll back and rate this series 7/10 and admit i was wrong, the authors are intelligent 🙂

characters/character developments: xoay quanh ba nhân vật yahwi - jooin - cain, nghe bảo đang được xây dựng theo chiều hướng 3p/tình tay ba. cũng gọi là có tí cốt truyện nhưng nhân vật thì chả tới đâu.

• jooin/bot: nhu nhược và khờ khạo, không phân biệt rõ được tình cảm của mình, làm việc cảm tính, dễ dãi, gần giống như mắc The Norrmalmstorg Syndrome.

anh chàng này như kiểu tổng tài bá đạo, trung tâm vũ trụ trong mấy bộ manhuas, "có không giữ mất la làng", có những hành động và lời nói hết sức vô tri, mức độ chắc chỉ xếp dưới keith pittman bên kiss me liar. có/từng rape (nhẹ) jooin rồi xem người ta như đồ chơi và giãy giụa thì người ta đi chung với người khác (・∀・) và rồi ảnh được dùng omo "quá khứ" để tẩy trắng.

nhưng nhìn chung truyện đang hiatus ở ss2 nên chưa biết sẽ được tẩy bao nhiêu.

• cain/top 2: anh này là người cứu vớt được bộ này trong mắt tôi, trái ngược với yahwi, cain là good boy tốt bụng, simp :v nhưng nghĩ cho jooin nhiều lắm à

ảnh cũng có mối lương duyên từ kiếp trước với jooin nên tình sâu nghĩa nặng.có thể xem cain là nhân vật có development ổn nhất tới hiện tại.

plot: không phát triển được nhiều, thêm nhiều tình tiết máu chó rồi chả tới đâu, một tình tiết vắt sữa nhiều chap liền để câu fans. 2/10

No soy gran fan de los manhwas sobre relaciones tóxicas de dependencia, pero es que no puedo negar que lo que pasa Jooin no es realista. La cantidad de amistades que tenemos a las que les tienes que decir “amiga date cuenta” y tardan muchisimo en darse cuenta. Esas amistades se pueden representar con la figura de Jooin. Me voy a quedar como team Cain porque por mucha pena que YahWi trate de darnos, el daño está hecho.

I love this so much. The characters are definitely tropey, but that's part of why I love it so much. I can't wait for more.
