The story begins when Azuma Akari, a young man with dreams of becoming a chef, stumbles into another world. He is rescued by Gangreve, the leader of a mercenary group. Seeing an opportunity, Akari joins the group, taking on odd jobs and gradually proving his worth through his exceptional cooking skills. i've read so many generic isekai stories that start with overworked salaryman, good people dying with regret, people accomplishing great deeds before dying, etc
but, getting all that reincarnation privileges from being a useless hikkikomori that died after doing nothing? and it was just from simple bullying... if that's not lazy writing then i don't know what is
at least the other hikkis did 1 last good deed (or die trying) before getting reincarnated, like saving someone else, or even cat, from truck-kun
ah well, will continue reading it for now
