Anjou being such a flirt is the sell of the manga, which it does really well. The interactions are a lot of fun and if you
are into this kinda of content then you'd be fed well. The artist is pretty talented, I think it's generally impressive the way they've made Anjou appealing with the closer shots of her portrait, especially since it doesn't rely on huge anime boobs or butts to make her give fanservice.
Though as of right now, having binged from chapter 1 up to 149, the pace is daringly slow. I feel like it suffers from the opposite of what Horimiya was doing, where it begins focused on its main relationship and after that ship sailed it kinda devolved more to an episodic series where you show up cause you love the characters than be there for the plot (with maybe another relationship or two happening).
For this instance, it takes awhile to see progress, or generally any ship sailing. Which while that's generally the case for most romcoms, I honestly don't know how I'd want to keep up with this if I read it earlier lol. Because at times you could barely feel the progress made, it being more episodic at the beginning with basically focusing on Anjou flirting hard on Seto. I think like only 90+ chapters in do you really see it really progress, and it's been picking up the pace honestly. At that kind of pace, if I started earlier I'd get fed up with it and drop off awhile til after a year of updates. But when it does have its big chapters, I'm pretty satisifed with each one they drop and generally rooting for them cause of it.
It's a good one but I feel that it's just getting good as of chapter 147. You can finally see some growth in the mc. If you stick around and read it, I'm sure you won't be dissappointed
7/10: Good art, interesting romcom plot, emphatic characters, a lot of fan service.
But theres is a big issue with this manga enjoyment: Inconsistent story telling and excessive story loops (no sense of progress).
Without spoilers, let me point out three main/key chapters in this manga: chapter 24, 39 and 66, on which there's fundamental events plotwise, but then, there's not relevant progress until chapter 101, leaving almost 35 chapters in between where only "plain ecchi" and "fan service" alone is keeping the series ongoing.
Oh my God, ch. 54 is definitely a 10/10
More loving kind of teasing and at the same time juvenile and harmless, hard to quantify this. This work is probably for people that really like the "will they or wont they" trope and its the same new/old situation every time youve seen hundreds of times. Typical weak male that for some deus ex reason have a gal female lead following him and liking him to some degree. Its not bad and I like the short and quick situations. Theres no drag except for the story but then again a story doesnt seem to be the point, you could shuffle all the chapters up and wouldnt notice a thing. Tomorrow i will forget ive ever read it. Thats not a bad thing but not a good thing either.
All around good for what it tries to be, maybe?
If you wanna read something similar to Nagaroto-san but with less bullying and more teasing, then this is your manga.
