Reviewed @ch4 (then read til ch45 webnovel)
This is really cute. We have an initial sadder chapter as he initially takes in the almost dead child. But seeing his attitude toward her and her recovery and then her new personality is kinda wonderful.
She's very visibly something that brightens up the lives of those around her.
And the art for her is...very cute.
We also have a very likeable lead. Unfortunately I feel like later the focus is a bit on him than i'd like, rather the adorable daughter.
The rest of the cast is ok. Not bad but nothing special.
I do feel like there's not much about the plot that stands out well. He's too OP for any fights/quests to be interesting. And at one point he's on a chain fetch quest.
I'm hoping the school will be interesting and different.
It is interesting how he's self-aware of his own morality. That he's not strong enough to help everyone, but also wouldn't help anyone unless it's something in front of him.
The novel suffers from amateur prose but I'm wondering if the manga is simply a better way to read it. Have to wait and see.
