I'd say it's one of the more interesting gangster BL with interesting characters, theme and backstories and hella juicy smut scenes.
The readers seem very divided on season 2. I personally loved it because Season 1, in retrospect, was a prelude to the main story. I found no significant changes in the characters or their renderings between the scenes. The story went more deeply into how life in the underground affected Jin, making his attempts to find a life outside all the more meaningful. And I love the smut in all its glory.
Now that the series has come to a close, I can say without a doubt that Jaxx delivered a meaningful, poignant ending and a series that I'll hold close to my heart. Jin will remain one of my favorite fictional characters ever (and for my profession, I have to be familiar with a lot of fictional characters).
I hope Jaxx will publish a print version of Under the Green Light because it would be a visual feast, and I'll literally be able to hold it close and aww, sniff, and squee at key moments. Fingers crossed.
The younger guy, Matthew, should have been the exclusive uke. Ugh. What a great disappointment.
I really enjoyed the 1st season and I waited for the 2nd one and had huge expectations after what we've experienced before, and well... It was a huge disappointment. I thought that I'm gonna enjoy it as much but it's just getting wore and worse. They can't communicate and behave like 2 idiots. It's like they're completely different persons now. It's irritating to see something like this.

I was waiting for the 2nd season to come out, bcs of all the positive vibes I got from the 1st season. HOWEVER it all got ruined. Besides the overbearing smut, the plot is practically gone. Like, I don't even think that characters think the way they had in previous season. Don't even get me started on the length of first chapters of 2nd season and their content. CAN'T TAKE IT. How should I look up to another chapter if I just know that it will be disappointing?

PS. The more you think about it, the more you notice that their whole relationship is a mess with awful past, present and probably future.
Oddly, I read this a few hours ago but I have no memory of the story beyond Matthew trying to date the mafia guy and yeah I think it's set in the USA? I feel like it's a shame since the art is v good and I liked the character designs but I dropped it in S1 because it just felt p boring even with the mafia element.
I do have to say it was worth reading up to the hotel elevator scenes because of reasons.
Also, eh I feel like the way the bodies are drawn in r18 scenes looks a little off like they are super sketchy/blocky so I found it a bit distracting too.
I used to be totally captivated by this couple... unfortunately...not anymore...second season destroyed everything....it's totally not how it used to be and how it was supposed to be, they're both are totally ooc in this season... Instead of focusing on all these issues around them Jaxxx added a fight between them?! Gosh, I cannot stand it, I was really totally into this story, now...only disappointed, typical shitty BL trop...time to drop this nonsense
