    I think Hori could've more pages to show Deku being appreciated like a simple panel of civvies calling out to him. Hori added some, though. He has a statue and a kid still remembers him even though he was retired for 8 years, Deku became a teacher at basically Hero school Harvard at 24/25. Also, teachers are highly regarded like engineers/doctors in Japan. No way is he getting minimum wage.
