In a distant realm reminiscent of the Arabian Nights, there lived a mysterious young elf-child. His life was marked by hardship in the slums of an isolated village, alongside his elder sister. One fateful day, he met Sedona, a librarian from the grandest library in the land. As they began their journey, the two forged an unbreakable bond, venturing into a world brimming with magic and marvels.

The first volumes were about a boy discovering the world. It was a bit childish, especially the comedy, but the tone was sweet and the world was exotic and intriguing.
As of volume 7, the story is a mess, the pace is slow, with flashbacks and fillers to to make it even slower, and I don't care at all about the myriad of characters that try to fill the void.
I might be reaching when i say this
This manga reminds me of berserk. Now before people get their pitchforks, the reason why it reminds me aboiut beserk is because the setting. Take out all the scary, dark stuff, what are you left with, a nice background with lore that comes with it.
I guess a better comparison is elden ring, whenever you are not fighting the bosses, you are traversing the land, learning more about the places you visit, the people you meet, like the erd tree.
If you like those genres, i believe this manga would suit you well extremely. Keep in mind that there is very little violence from what i have seen so far
The first volume was good, but hard to get into. I saw it to be slow and boring, and only stuck to it because of the art. As you may notice by the rating, it was worth it. I fell in love with this good old fashioned fantasy story.
Setting:
This manga shows fantasy as it truly is. A sense of exploring a new world full of wonders, history, and culture. The amount of details the author put into this is huge, such that every place has a story.
Characters:
One of my favourite things about this manga. The characters are so diverse and realistic. No Cliché, pre made template characters that are as empty as the Sahara desert. MC is awesome too, I find my self sympathising with the him, sad for when he struggles and proud when he Succeeds (motherly love?).
Art:
I bought the volumes for it. Stopped before V5 because I want to appreciate the beauty in the best possible way. Now I have to hold back from reading it online, it's a nightmare. Anyway the art is super good(Landscapes, cultural clothings, cultural housings, architectures, relics, and characters) all top notch.
I didn't give it a 10/10 because of two things
I mean... Is it really like this? I could understand for private schools or high university like Todai or else, but it seems all the random schools ever have always this kind of stuff.
