Okay, I dig that angle a lot. The very knowledge that there is somewhere further beyond, even if it's far away, even if getting there will require sacrifice and near-insane levels of hard work, means there is something to strive for, something to pull you onward, something to justify further growth. Plenty. Lately I've been enjoying Surviving as a Barbarian and Karate Isekai Survivor. The first is indeed a fantasy game isekai but the game itself is quite odd and the MC is forced to be very shrewd about gaining power as in the setting anyone found to be from another world is killed on the spot. Karate Isekai Survivor's world has weirdly few gamified elements and is mostly about just trying not to fucking die

GOD... I love this series.

I love how even with a minimalistic art style Onigunsou-sensei still has a lot of flexibility in their art, the dynamism and impact are... simply great.

This and Tsugumomo have the best "tool magic" depictions.
