It's cute. You can really feel their adolescences and insecurities, but it's encroached in the oddest premise. However, what says puberty more than body hair, first love, and self-awareness?
The manga itself was interesting and had decent pacing, but the ending didn't tie up any of the loose ends. Something that annoyed me to no end when I read it, was the portrayal of the bullying of the main character. There was a teacher present when that boy
I love OSHIMI Shuzo because I've never seen him produce a Standard Manga Story. This little on-shot is no exception. Through having similar embarrassing problems a girl and boy get closer, and the boy learns to stop being the usual Japanese manga boy who's afraid to touch girls. It's charming and fun to read, and it's creativity of subject foreshadows all this mangaka's other work, particularly the current hit "Aku no Hana"
Even though this has an usual premise, the heart of this manga is in the right place.
It is the first manga I read that deals with hairiness (or lack thereof). And it dealt with it in a semi-realistic manner (in terms of insecurity and such).
Mixed in with a quirky sense of humour, I really enjoyed this short manga! 🙂
I love the author because he comes up with the weirdest plot in his manga. The story is short so it's easy to finish. I like the premise of the story and that's about it. There's nothing that stands out for this manga. I didn't like the ending very much, but I suspected that it wouldn't be good anyways with the manga being so short.
