    Review as of ch26

    One of the ending scanlator pages implied something deeper with the family dynamic, but it is sadly exactly as predicted. Either scanlator lacks media literacy was just baiting.

    4/10 - Only from initial suspense from not know where this might go. Otherwise 0/10

    Spoilers but not really as it's apparent after a handful of chapters:

    Wife has mercurial personality combined with a very extreme (to the point that it is almost comical) mental illness / disability.

    She is unable to read others, has trouble interpreting meaning, is unwilling to communicate (even if she knows the other party has no clue what she is saying), and refuses anything the goes against or is non-adjacent to her perspective.

    After years of mental torment, Husband has resigned to a defeatist and non-confrontational cope mindset. Even more meek that the typical "kicked out of hero's party" MC and the weak willed Japanese salaryman audience it appeals to, combined 💀

    Meanwhile daughter inherits her trouble socializing from her mother and inherits her meekness against opposition from her father, yet is able to run laps around these two in critical thinking.

    Author's intention proably wants you to pity the husband, but honestly I only pity the daughter. Wife is completely nuclear but the husband is like an open air bunker that just lets the radiation in.
