    Creating to himself a debuff skill instead of creating a passive one and bestowing into the enemies would be much better.
    Also remember when he made one to shrink the boobs of his friend? A size change one so she can make them small to fight and back to normal (or bigger) at other times would be more useful.
    But thats an issue with lots of authors, they make dumbfuck MCs to give good powers to, because if the MCs were smart they would need to be smarter themselves to write about it.
