First thing man does is recognize he's a ghost, get attacked by 4 children because he's obviously a ghost, take them hostage and then execute them in cold blood for no reason. Obviously doing all this before asking them a single question about where he is or who they are.
This is just a text-book murder hobo move, but worse than that it's incredibly cringe as the guy was built up to be human in the first chapter.
