So the novel is basically a repeat format of wake up kisses, dungeon crawling, crafting materials, bathtime, dinner, sex, and very rarely the occasional side story. The manga isnt very far in but so far its doing the same but cutting out the most boring parts. If the anime doesn't cut out the love scenes/sex, there's not really a lot to go on. Don't get me wrong I still like it, but hard to imagine pitching this to a studio for reasons other than sex appeal
This manga has Marvel-tier writing. There are no meaningful stakes, setups or payoffs throughout this entire arc. This manga is simultaneously rushed and boring at the same time, and the characters are all cardboard cutouts. Each character’s power up here--no.9 included--is an asspull with minimal to zero setup, and Kaiju no 9 is one of the least threatening antagonists in shonen. This is all due to an incredibly surface level power system that is barely rooted in any defined rules, and the story’s conflict isn’t personal to Kafka. His use of no8’s powers is a catch all for however the story needs it, meaning there is zero tension in any of the fights. This manga is terribly written but the art isn’t bad, just infuriatingly mediocre. If the anime is anything like this pile of shit then normies are really hitting a new low.
How exactly is this healing magic? That's the main thing I don't understand...
The secondary part of my confusion would be the insistence of the authors in these types of stories, to have the revenge characters be complete psychopaths. Without even an OUNCE of humanity left in them.
You know, it would be great to have this type of revenge story, where the main character realizes that going beyond what he set out to do was wrong and would make them the same, if not worse, than the people they aim their revenge at. Much like Monty already pointed out.
Lmao, what???
That’s an hour and a half I’ll never get back. Was a good story but the ending makes everything that happens irrelevant. The secondary main character’s personality completely changes over nothing and… spend your time on other manga
