Don't be fooled by the cute art and kids friendly colour grading... this author's writing style is tense as fck. Just a heads up. Just like Roland Roland, this one is in a similar veins. Although the art style has evolved to be more complex with more finesse in the line work quality.
So far, the series starts pretty much as light hearted fun... But you can feel something brewing already with the drug, contraband, and the concept of responsibility motifs... Just be on your guard... The author knows how to cook... And know how to make drop your guard with the cute developments... And it's OK to fall for it to enjoy the series more...
If you are not familiar with this author's preferred story telling style, it's close to Witch Hat Atelier, a seinen manga that could be masquerading as a cute shoujo story with its cast and cover. They're the type of series with more gore and shocking development than what's expected from the art style.
That being said, it won't top actual gore/horror/survival series with dismemberment like Gantz and Alice in Borderlands. So don't worry about that.
