I've come back to read the manga after 10+ years. When I started the anime it at 11, I wasn't aware the manga had more arcs than the freaking anime. I just found out from some random youtuber that the anime was stopped. Glad I found out because now I'm laughing my ass off rereading this series again and am reminded how much Reborn influenced me as a kid - Do Everything With Deathperation!

I disagree with the child-bearing part. The main idea has been hammered home that family and relationships are more about who you choose to be around. Not blood relationships. Nothing is forcing them to stay together, and the family they created though not traditional was something the cultivated together. Reinforced by Ai reuniting with her father after being left with her grandmother. Ai's father making their own family even though they abandoned their child in the process.
