    This manga is quite dark, as you read in the title, rape, murder, torture, etc.

    You better not stomach it if you hate that kind of thing becauseyou will question the morality of humanity while reading this manga.

    And the main character is just a litte girl, you can add the veteran old guy but i found this manga was quite interesting and let you how people live their life in the chaos of war time.

    Basically don't read this manga if you dislike rape, murder, torture and such, it has many disturbing moments.

    Urasawa is a love-hate relationship ... fantastic characterization and consistency throughout the work, including callbacks and references that have meaning later... but the mystery is always strung along by whiplash flashbacks jumping all over the place often revealing more characters and more questions. This would be fine - if you were already dealt a full hand to try to decipher and the mystery is gradually revealed before you, but that's not the case - information is intentionally withheld from you, keeping you in the dark until the last second. That's the part that people either rave or rant about.

    PS - Read 21st CB for the loose ends.
